Can I have acrylic nails if I'm taking Methotrexate?

I am taking Methotrexate for Juvenile Idiopatic Arthritis and have read on the internet that you arent suppose to have acrylic nails put on if you ar taking this medication? It's my prom in a couple if weeks and i have planned to have acrylic nails put on! I was just wondering what would be the reason I could not have acrylic nails? Answers would be much appreciated :) Thanks!
